Hi,
Summer season in Poland starts practically in May. However till half of June you have to have rather thick wetsuit.
Sizes of kites.. You haven't told us how much you weight, but if you weight about 80kilos you'll probably use 12's or 14's.
In February winter season is just ending so you won't snowkite much. But taking a foil kite may be good solution for landkiting with mountainboard during spring.

So: if I were you I'd take at least one kite, mostly because schools and kite-rentals are open approximately since half of May.

PS: for actual weather conditions, check windguru.cz with Poland - Hel, Ponald - Rewa and Poland - Sopot <= those are close spots (but the nearest to Gdansk is Sopot)

regards,
Patryk

It really depends on weather which is unpredictable ;)

For June 4mm should suffice. If the weather was warm (and U had wetsuit with long sleeves and legs ) in may even be anough for May.

But the other option is long winter (which I unfortunately don't believe on the coast) but who knows ;)

So: If U had luck, you'll have 2 months of kitesurfing. You may also stay in Poland longer, cause it's beautiful country with outstanding wind conditions ;)

I am sure a 4mm will be enough. If not, you can always buy one of those inexpensive titanium chillvests [e.g. http://www.pro-limit.com/displayitemv2.php?item_id=1887 ], which you can put under your wetsuit. Usually, it's also the best period to kitesurf in Poland ;-), with much stronger winds than in July/August.

Hi there!
You may have some problems with buying a drysuit, especially in February. Most shops located in Gdynia, Sopot or Gdansk are, let's say, season-shops. It means that they sell winter stuff (snowboards, skis, jackets) during winter and summer stuff (kites, boards, clothes, etc.) during summer, but I don't know exactly when they change.. (probably something like April).
You may also have difficulties with finding a drysuit, because, as far as I know, vast majority of suits are wetsuits. Honestly I have never seen a drysuit, maybe because I wasn't looking for it... :) But don't worry, thick wetsuit, even for thin person, is sufficent even in April and if you are equipped with hood, boots and gloves, you'll surely fill warm and comfortable. Of course some may say that they don't need boots etc. but I don't belong to them

Here you have the list of shops that I know:
- Huragan (Hurricane) - Gdańsk, Targ Rybny Street, 6,
- ABC Windsurfing - Gdynia, Aleja Zwycięstwa 190 (close to Klif mall)
- Locales - Gdynia, Wiejska Street, 129.

Good luck and regards!
